Chicken broth for babies is so Yummy!

Chicken broth for babies, I must say that chicken broth is the best for me in terms of taste. It takes me back to my happy memories because my grandmother prepared this yummy soup very often and I love it ever since I was a little baby. Thus it is a great choice for Emily.

I’m sure you noticed that there were a lot of soup recipes on the blog, which I would be happy to explain. Being a “soup lover”, I am of the opinion that a high-quality broth not only fills your tummy but also delivers a lot of vitamins and is a perfect way to feed your little pumpkin.

In addition, if you are a mother with more children and want to recall a nice recipe while breastfeeding, so you will definitely confirm that a quality broth will provide a lot of milk, which you will appreciate while sleeping baby or toddler.

Recipe

Preparation time:15 minutes
Cook time:30 minutes
Portions:8

Ingredients

  • 1/2 chicken
  • 3 pcs carrot
  • 2 pcs parsley
  • 1 petiole of celery stalks
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 pcs bay leaf
  • 2 pcs allspice
  • a pinch of kumin
  • a pinch of salt
  • 6 cups baby water

Instructions

Peel root vegetables, wash thoroughly and cut into larger pieces. Put it in a pressure or classic pot, add bay leaf, allspice, washed meat and salt.

Use just a really small amount of salt or do not use it at all. The decision is up to you. Even a small amount of salt will give a great taste to the soup for babies palete. Put all ingredients into a pot and pour over the baby water. Cook for 30 minutes in a pressure cooker, 3-4 hours in a normal pot. How to use a different pot was explained in previous article about beef broth for babies.

Simmer the soup and serve clean broth.

Tip: In addition to the stock, you can also try a piece of crumpled carrot from the stock or prepare chicken puree using the cooked chicken meat. If you want to feed your baby with a spoon, squeeze a little carrot directly into the broth.

Make sure the broth is not hot so that the baby does not get burnt. Store the remaining broth in the freezer (it can last up to a month) and keep one portion for the next day. Silicone ice molds served me well in the freezer (I bought the bigger ones for 1.75” square cubes).

Emily and chicken broth?

To be honest, Emily played with the bottle but did not drink a lot. The beef broth was the star, chicken broth was great, but only for me. A few days later she drank more. It is good to have some broth frozen and serve later or use it in combination with vegetables or meat to cook a tasty vegetable puree or meat puree for babies.
